Fox River Socks

Recently snagged a pair of socks from Fox River and have to say, these are some high quality socks that all runners should be checking out. These socks are lightweight and moisture wicking and the Eco Cool Max technology of the socks allow the feet to breath and be comfortable while out for a run. Not only are the socks functional but the socks are also nicely stylish!

I always appreciate a brand that gives back and $1 per pair of socks sold Fox River then donates back to Running Strong for American Indian Youth.

Salina Crossroads Marathon

The Salina Crossroads Marathon had the highest percentage of Boston Marathon Qualifiers of any marathon in Kansas in 2023 and the race is excited to announce that they are making some great changes to the 2024 half/full marathon courses including eliminating the turnaround on Eastborough Street, reducing the number of turns, and removing the section on the levee trail so the course will be 100% paved.

$5.00 Entries Available Through March 31st

Thanks to a $20,000 foundation grant and some additional funding the race received, they are still offering race entries to any of the seven races for $5.00 through March 31st. Please note the race shirt is optional to purchase this year and is an additional fee. No coupon is needed for this discount.

Free Photos

Thanks to generous sponsors, the race will again be providing free photos. In addition to the finish line photos, there will be additional photographers along the course this year taking photos. You will be able to search for your photo by your bib number.

Pies at the Finish Line

Last year the pies provided by Schwan’s Company were a huge hit and the race is excited to announce that Schwan’s will again be providing pie by the slice at the finish line!

Recover with Naboso

After a good morning of pounding the pavement while out on a run, the need to focus on recovery is never more important. As runners, sometimes we just plow past the time we should spend recovering but ensuring that the body is healed up before heading back out for the next run is critically important and thanks to some amazing products from Naboso runners are now able to focus their recovery efforts with truly great options.

I’ve recently started using the Naboso recovery socks which prove to be both effective and comfortable. The inside of the socks have a gentle, spiked texture to them which helps to activate and stimulate the bottom of the feet.

The socks prove useful to walk around the house post-run in and then to put the feet up in a chair or on the couch to rest for a few after the run. The real activation kicks in when stepping down on the sock and the gentle pressure feels great particularly after a longer run. The Naboso recovery socks that I went with have a gripped bottom on the sole of the sock, as well, making them perfect to walk around the house for a bit in. It does take a few tries to get use to the stimulating texture but once you do these will be an item that you reach for at the end of each and every run.

Naboso has some really interesting additional recovery options available ranging from recovery mats to sneaker insoles, a rolling recovery tool and more. Experts in the post-workout recovery space, Naboso has something for everyone and you’ll definitely want to give their products a try.
