The Revere Beach Partnership is excited to announce the annual Revere Beach Pumpkin Dash and Kid’s Fun Run will be going virtual. In efforts to keep runners and supporters safe and healthy, they have made the decision to take the 2020 Pumpkin Dash online. I will be participating in the virtual 5K from Bridgewater, Massachusetts and encourage you to join me for the run wherever you call home!

Participants will have the option to run, walk, or bike a 5K road race all to support the Revere Beach Partnership the week of October 24th- 31st. This is a great opportunity to support an organization doing important work keeping Revere Beach a safe, clean and welcoming ocean-side beach location.

Join me for the Run for RBG! This virtual 5K can be run any time between now and November 15th and you will upload your times to make it official. There is a great shirt and medal combo that will be shipped and all proceeds from the race benefit some amazing women’s organizations including NOW, Planned Parenthood and Girls Who Code.

This virtual run will take place anytime between November 27th and December 31st and money raised from this event will go to support research, provide medical supplies to families and patient access to specialists for individuals who have been diagnosed with Epidermolysis Bullosa.EB, is a rare connective tissue disorder with many genetic and symptomatic variations. All types of EB share the major symptom of extremely fragile skin that blisters and tears from the slightest friction or trauma. Internal organs and bodily systems can also be seriously affected by the disease. EB is always painful, often pervasive and debilitating, and is in some cases lethal before the age of 30.

There is currently no cure or treatment for EB. Pain management, wound care, and preventative bandaging are the only options available.

UWOL is inviting runners to the First Annual 5K (3.1 mile) Virtual Fun Run/Walk/Roll/Ruck fundraiser event for only $35. This event is open for a limited time only and will end November 18th so you have plenty of time to record, take a photo of your results, and then simply upload on the race website. All proceeds will go towards Veterans in need of rebuilding their lives after serving our country.
