Registration is now open for The Double Burn 5K, a race in support of the non-profit Anna’s Pals.

Anna’s Pals Night of Remembrance and Light will take place on Friday, November 29th at Jamaica Pond in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. The evening will start off with The Double Burn, a 5K race around Jamaica Pond and appropriately gets its name as you will be burning off your Thanksgiving calories and then will burn a candle in remembrance of a loved one.

The 5K race begins at 2:30 PM with the lighting of candles to follow at 4:30 PM. All race participants who register before September 1st are guaranteed a tee-shirt.

Anna’s Pals is a 501c3 non-profit charity founded in memory of Anna Jerome who passed away after a courageous battle with leukemia. Anna’s Pals is working  to preserve Anna’s kind spirit by using her wish to help others in their battle against leukemia and funds from The Double Burn 5K will go to continue the work in Anna’s memory.
