21st Annual Somerville Homeless Coalition Road Race

Voted in 2014 as one of New England’s top 75 road races, the Somerville Homeless Coalition Road Race is a race you are definitely going to want to sign up for. This year marks the 21st annual running of the race and features some awesome amenities that will make this year’s running of the race another great event!

Held on October 1st at 9AM in Davis Square in Somerville, Massachusetts here are some of the key bonuses this road race has to offer:

  • Register by September 12th or commit to raising $100 and get a free t-shirt!
  • Great Brunch, provided by local restaurants
  • Raise $100 and your registration is free; Raise $250 and you will get a free runners cap.
  • Trophies awarded to top overall male and female, and to the top team.
  • Prizes awarded to top male and female in each category, as well as the top 3 fundraisers; medals to top three finishers.
  • The Steve Burton award given to the race participant who raises the most money.

The race starts and finishes on a bike path and Somerville is a great place to run. The course is a certified 5K course and will be a great race to kick off the month of October with.

All proceeds from the race benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition, an innovative non-profit organization which has the mission to provide homeless and near homeless individuals and families with individualized supportive services and tailored housing solutions with a goal of obtaining and maintaining affordable housing.
