Monday Night Fun Runs Are Back!

The Colonial Road Runners put on a great Monday Night Fun Run Series in Raynham, Massachusetts that you certainly want to check out. Each Monday night at 6:30 PM runners head out on a 3.25 mile road course and the weekly series is a great way to stretch your legs after work and to challenge yourself each week trying to improve week over week.

The Monday Night Fun Runs are timed and results are posted to Racewire each week. Volunteers from the CRR mark the course with signs and setup the finish line chute. Water is provided at the finish line and the race is a bargain price of just $2! Yes, $2!

Last night was my first Monday Night Fun Run back since the pandemic and it was good to see some familiar faces back on the course. Temperatures were pretty mild for a July night and there was a touch of humidity in the air but nothing too bad. Felt good being back out on the course I have run a bunch and the uphill climb right around and just past the two mile mark is a good one to keep you honest. There is a nice downhill descent as you make your way to the Mile 3 marker and then a flat finish allows you to kick things in a bit as you make your way into the finish line.

I finished last night’s Monday Night Fun Run with a time of 24:57, good for 7:40/miles. Boom! Very happy with that pace and look forward to being back at the Monday Night Fun Run again soon!
