I have done some pretty amazing races in Plymouth, MA ranging from the Jenney Grist Mill to the Run to the Rock and it looks like another great race is on the docket in America’s Hometown!
The Winter Warlock 10K was created as Plymouth’s only wintertime road racing event. The Town of Plymouth, Massachusetts has quickly become the premier road race destination for South Shore runners. Now runners can kick off their 2012 racing season earlier with the Winter Warlock 10K!
The Winter Warlock 10k is on 02/18/12 at Noon.
The course description is that the race is moderately uphill for the first .4miles, then runners are treated to a very fast downhill and rolling downhill grade until mile 3.9! Then, after taking a hairpin turn onto famous Old Sandwich Road, runners are treated to a wide, flat dirt road with wintery scenes. From mile 3.9 to the end of the race is rolling and uphill, but you can hardly tell you are climbing due to the gradual incline of the second part of the course. The finish is slight downhill for the last 100 meters.
