James H. Lamb Memorial Scholarship 5 Miler

I took part in the James H. Lamb Memorial Scholarship 5 Miler on March 27, 2011 in Taunton, Massachusetts. The race started and finished at Coyle-Cassidy High School and the funds raised from this race went to a scholarship in memory of a former Coyle-Cassidy student named James H. Lamb.

The course was a pretty nice course racing through residential neighborhoods for the most part. The run did take you past the Reed & Barton Factory which appeared as though historically was a rather significant factory in Taunton’s manufacturing history.

Though it was relatively cold and quite windy for the race, I completed the race in 39:19 for under 8 minute miles.
